Are you a born leader? If so, you may qualify for the J. Scott Fleming Scholarship, the only student-to-student scholarship at UB. Established in 1985, the J. Scott Fleming Scholarship is a program of the University Student Alumni Board (USAB) that seeks to recognize full-time undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated leadership through extracurricular and volunteer activies. The application deadline for the 2010 scholarship was October 16, 2009. Applications for the 2011 scholarship will be available during the fall 2011 semester.
For students with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to a career in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in public service. Deadline for applications is October 28, 2009. Learn more from the UB Honors College.

This is a one-day leadership-mentoring program that will help you broaden your leadership perspective and knowledge of the skills needed to succeed. Participants wspend the day with their assigned mentor and attend a reception with all REALM participants.

Oozfest, the mud volleyball tournament sponsored by USAB, the student alumni group, has become one of UB’s most beloved traditions. Held every April, thousands of students get down and dirty in the Mud Pit on the North (Amherst) Campus. Oozfest 2010, "Just Ooze It," will be held Saturday, April 24.
It’s simple – six students and six alumni come together over a meal and leave as friends. It’s a great networking opportunity too!
