The Sarkin Award is named in honor of the late Richard T. Sarkin, M.D., Ed. M. '98, an accomplished pediatrician renowned for his teaching expertise, his efforts to improve the teaching skills of faculty and medical residents, as well as on ways to improve how physicians communicate with patients. The award acknowledges outstanding and significant achievements of UB alumni who have earned distinction as educators at accredited institutions of higher education.
