University at Buffalo - Reaching Others.

UB Alumni Association

Give Back

UB alumni give back every day by volunteering their time and talent, whether by mentoring students and fellow alumni, helping recruit the best and brightest students to UB, hosting events or by becoming active in regional alumni chapters in their hometown.  And some alums give back the traditional way with a donation.  You are UB, and you're making a difference.

Volunteer

The UB Alumni Association has a variety of volunteer opportunities that fit just about anyone's schedule.

Chicago

Chapters

If you live outside Western New York, volunteering for an alumni chapter near you means bringing a little bit of UB home. More than 20 chapters in the U.S. draw thousands of UB alumni together for networking, catching up on university developments, watching the UB Bulls or Buffalo’s professional sports teams, all while sharing UB memories. International chapters in 12 countries often feature reunion activities and events with UB visiting dignitaries.

If you are interested in volunteering for chapter events or starting a new chapter in your region, contact Mike Jankowski in the UB Office of Alumni Relations.

Dinner for 12 Strangers

Dinner for 12 Strangers brings alumni in Western New York together with students, staff and fellow alumni for a meal in their home, on campus or at a local restaurant. It’s simple – six alumni and six students come together over a meal and leave as 12 new friends. Alumni in Western New York are
invited to host and attend upcoming D12 events.

Hump Day Hangouts

Alumni are invited to mingle, grab a slice of pizza and play a game of Wii with current students during this once-a-month Wednesday event called Hump Day Hangouts with the UBAA.  Held in the Student Union, it's a great way to connect with students and help them learn about the UBAA.
