Football and Wrestling

  • Named to the Associated Press All-East second team and received honorable mention for the AP All-American Team in 1965

  • Named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference as second team defensive lineman in 1964 and 1965

  • Two-time All-East Lineman of the Week in 1965 and three-time All-East Lineman of the week in 1964

  • Freshman year undefeated in the wrestling unlimited weight class and only one varsity defeat as a sophomore in the 191 lb. class

  • Played professional football in Canada for the Edmonton Eskimos and British Columbia Lions for five years and received the Joe Clark Memorial trophy as the Outstanding Rookie in 1966
